Art movements

Here is my work on art movements over the last hundred years including eight different movements. All of these are very important in how art has evolved over the years and where styles were born from. I gives us an idea of where art has been and maybe Even where its going. All of the movements i have added here all interest me in their own way. Art nouveau is greatly based on nature, mother nature this is why female figures are use in this way in Nouveau. Futurism is another interesting style in its abstract and its use of movement and speed by using pointed shapes of colour and change of shade to this effect. Art deco had a different kind of design almost minimalism using a lot of coloured shapes working on being colourful and simple and was a huge success in its time.Abstract impressionism probably one of my favourite movements because of its abstract nature and how much expression you can involve in this movement and the amount of colour used never lets me down. Pop art was one of the biggest movement of the sixties and is still used alot today mostly in street art by mixing in irony and an abstract tendency, use of alot of coulor and bright imageing aare the main ettect of this movement. Minimalism is the idea of less is more in tyhe art work, it was the idea of useing very little colour and detale in order to caert new spacesions pieces offten involoving shaps such as squars and coloured blocks. Photo realism is litteraly what it sounds like the following of painting so correctly that it looks like real life, this movement involves a lot of skill and patience in order to come out with such an effected, paintings of the royal family are normaly done in this style.for there accuracie. Postmodernism is thye movement we are currently in, this style consised of Intamedia, Illastration art, Conceptual art and multi media. Postmoderism is  the recycling of past styles and themes in a modern-day context, it is made from high art low art and popular cuolture.
